New Brown Trout regs

 In an effort to maintain a healthy Brown trout population, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks has new fishing regulations for the Big Hole and Beaverhead rivers. These new rules are effective immediately as of Monday August 23rd. 

 New regulations for the Big Hole are the following:

 Catch and Release from Dickie bridge to the confluence with the Beaverhead river.

 Fishing is limited to artificial lures and single hooks only, no double or treble hooks allowed, from Dickie bridge to the confluence with the Beaverhead river.

 Seasonal closure from the BLM Maiden Rock site, the one near Maiden Rock bridge, to Brownes bridge from Nov. 1st to the 3rd Saturday in May.

 New regulations for the Beaverhead are the following:

 Catch and Release for the entire length of the river.

 Fishing is limited to artificial lures and single hooks only, no double or treble hooks allowed, for the entire length of the river.

 Seasonal closure from Clark Canyon dam to Pipe Organ bridge from Nov. 1st until the 3rd Saturday in May.
