Fishing Report: My dad is on the river all week, so I'll have a good first hand report for you later in the week. Hopper fishing has been spotty, weeds are pretty bad down towards Bighorn access, but guess what? People are still catching fish! Surprise, the Bighorn continues along the same linear path it does all year long and it's fishing well. Black caddis are around and so are pseudos, so dry fly fishing has still been ok, just don't expect it to be great. Just don't expect to have it to yourself, but if you ever expect to have this river to yourself, your delusional! Pods of rising fish have been a bit selective, but then again, they've had enough patterns over top of their nose for more than a few months now, so come prepared, have some smaller tippet or be prepared to put together a better cast, or just say forget it and hope they'll eat nymphs, which they will and do. Your typical stuff over here includes ray charles, san juan worms, pink soft hackles and a variety of mayfly nymphs. It's a great summer over here, but it's very busy, so if you're looking to head over here, you're going to want to have made your reservations already, or give us a ring and we'll see what we can stir up for you.
