Fishing Report:
Reports from over this way have been pretty good - seems as if the changing of the seasons has come early everywhere as they are seeing some good Blue Winged Olives over here on the Horn already. That's due much in part to the cool and cloudy and wet weather we've been having and that's pretty much put a damper on the hopper fishing, which you'd prefer dry and hot. So tricos are around on the river, some caddis down low (tan not black) and the black caddis are nearly over with for now. Expect that once it warms up some again that some terrestrial fishing will still be around - but don't get too up in arms over it, nymphing and blue wings will be better more likely from here on out. Weeds don't seem to be much of an issue, maybe in the slow water, but that's not where the fish have been seen anyway. Standard fare of baetis nymphs, scuds and sow bugs, midge larvae and the occasional san juan worm have been productive subsurface.
