Fishing Report:
Junk, that's how the river is fishing and that's what's scattered all over the place. Join TU and others on the river cleanup Saturday September 6th and do our part to take care of a fishery that suffers from poor stewardship from the state. Think late September and October... At this point, it's probably a good idea to give the Warm Springs down section a rest period, it's fishing like crap and never understand why guides even bother taking clients down this at this point in the year. The river is getting mossy and is still warm to the touch in the afternoons. Beartrap is the only thing even worth thinking about, but don't count on Hoppers, it's a nymphing game. When water temps are 70 degrees coming out of the dam, it's not surprising that the fish are in the deep holes.
