School Sized Boulder Hits Madison DamCheck the flows and monitor closely, they jumped 1500CFS from yesterday as a boulder wrecked into the Ennis Dam causing some spikes in water flows while they draw down the lake to fix the damn. The official word from PPL is that they don't plan on running the flows above 2000CFS, which was shortlived because today it's at 3,000CFS out of the dam, so continue to monitor. Water temps have cooled below 60 again, time to fish - crummy rainy days are nice because there are no pleasure floaters to mess up your drift or float over your fishing hole. With rain and overcast in the forecast, don't worry about hoppers, do however look for some baetis here and there with this fall like weather. Crayfish, san juan worms, your standards like zonkers and bow river buggers and some small beadhead mayflies and caddis off of the back and you're in good shape over here. If you want to go big fish hunting throw some streamers, but be aware that they have just bumped the flows 1500CFS so you might want to find them first, lot easier to pick them up on nymphs at this time of the year before they are really agressive...
