Fishing Report:
Clarity is not the issue right now on the Lower anymore, things are in perfect shape with a couple of feet of visibility with things deteriorating some below Cherry Creek on the river right side. Best fishing on the Lower lately has been between Warm Springs and Black's Ford, you can certainly go below, but Elk Creek and Cherry Creek are off making that lower stretch visibility wise much more difficult. Nymphing has been the mainstay and it's been good, the crayfish has been the best fly going again, surprise surprise, and dropping off the back of that with a variety of worms, a variety of mayfly nymphs has been the other key. Some guys having success hunting out fish feeding on top in the slack water, but the caddis are starting to taper off, and the golden stones and yellow sally's are starting to pop in small numbers, and still a few BWO's as well. Evenings are the best time for dry fly fishing on this river, and if you hit it right can be great fishing.
