Fishing Report:

The reports from the Park have been pretty consistent in the Norhteast corner of the park in the Lamar Valley on the expected streams - Slough, Soda Butte and the Lamar. It's pretty much the same story as it has been over the past few weeks. Attractor dries, hoppers, ants and beetles if you'd like, some dropper nymphs never hurt (yes you can fish 2 flies in the park, just pinch the barbs or else!) The West side of the park has been fairly slow according to the reports we've been hearing.
The Madison and Firehole probably aren't worth your time, if temps do cool here soon the Gibbon could be good again, and the Gallatin in the Park has been fantastic this year.

Patterns in the Park always crack me up, you can fish just about any ant, beetle, hopper or attractor pattern and catch plenty of fish, and there's absolutely no need to go smaller than 4X on anything! But if you insist on small picky fish flies and smaller tippet, good luck on landing the fish, temps have been cool, fish are in good shape, and they'll just break you off.

The Yellowstone looks like it's in prime shape up in the Park, now would be a great time to hike in and pitch grasshoppers to the cutties, because the terrestrials are all over the place, could be a fun time up in the Park right now and it's not as busy as one might think with higher gas costs...
