Some waters in Montana have warmed to the point we have placed restrictions on some rivers. Some are afternoon closures and others are full closures. Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks does this to ensure the health and survival of the fish population. We still recommend having a thermometer with you even if you are fishing unrestricted water and stop fishing when the temps reach 70 degrees.
