Smyth Flemming

Smyth’s love for fly fishing started at a young age with trips to the Davidson River in Brevard, NC with his dad and uncle. Growing up with a father who was a zoologist and a naturalist, Smyth learned not only the art of fly fishing but the importance of the environment and protecting it for generations to come. Smyth came to Montana on a Boy Scout trip to Yellowstone and instantly knew he was destined to move here. After the Marine Corps, Smyth packed his bags and headed to the big blue skies and winding rivers of Montana. Starting out in the Montana Conservation Corps, Smyth's childhood lessons quickly grew into what is now a passion and respect for the land and water. As your guide, Smyth can help you target those larger trophy trout, or enjoy the pleasure and beauty of catching smaller fish more often. Either way, he’ll take the time to help you experience and appreciate the natural world around you. After all, trout live in some of the prettiest places on the planet.
