Drift Boat Training Session

Learning to navigate the rivers of Montana or any other area can be a very intimidating and dangerous concept without the proper guidance and training. Our training sessions are for those looking to purchase a drift boat, those who have already purchased a boat and would like instruction on how to properly and safely use their equipment and those who would like to learn the finer points of rowing and vital safety skills on the water. All Drift Boat Training Sessions are taught by one of our Fully Licensed Montana Troutfitters guide staff members. All of our instructors have a minimum of 5 years rowing experience on Western Rivers with many of them having spent well over a decade behind the oars of a drift boat. Float fishing is truly one of the most exciting and productive ways to fish larger rivers, and learning to navigate a boat to set up the fisherman for success isn't a skill that you will pick up easily on your own, so leave it to our expert staff to teach you what you will need for more successful fishing trips.

Our Drift Boat Training Sessions are not intended for nor are they endorsed as Guide Training Sessions, these are simply for the avid angler who would like to learn the skills necessary to use their Drift Boat and equipment. Training sessions cover the following areas but can be custom designed around your specific wants and needs:
